VPP payment scenario calculator

Estimate a payment for one named program, territory and period. Summer capacity rates and emergency-event energy rates measure different things. Select one scenario; alternative utility rates are never added together.

1. Choose a payment scenario

CPUC-published nonresidential rate only. Utility, subgroup, baseline and current enrollment eligibility must be confirmed.

2. Enter your assumptions

Example inputs are illustrations, not typical earnings, a dispatch forecast or hardware specifications.

Power committed after reserve settings; not an entire fleet or solar nameplate.

Available qualifying reduction per event. The model caps this at power × event hours.

Your scenario duration; ELRP illustration caps event duration at 5 hours and modeled dispatch at 60 total hours.

Your assumption, not a prediction. No events means no event payment.

Fraction credited after availability and measurement assumptions. Actual settlement uses the approved baseline.

100% is gross pass-through. Tesla’s ConnectedSolutions page lists an 80% customer share; use your own contract.

What does this estimate mean?

This is an illustrative program payment before charging costs, equipment costs, taxes and other fees. It is not net profit, a quote, an eligibility decision or a multi-year promise. Installation rebates, winter products and other programs are excluded.

Confirm the current utility territory, enrollment, performance baseline, payment caps and provider agreement before relying on a result. Program rules and rates can change.
