These are published program terms, not a guaranteed payment. Actual earnings depend on measured performance, event counts, and what your aggregator passes through.

How the program works

Duke’s PowerPair pilot was launched in 2024 with an advertised combined incentive of up to $9,000 for qualifying new solar-plus-battery installations. That figure is a ceiling for qualifying equipment, not a flat payment for any battery or an annual VPP earning.

Current space and options must be confirmed with Duke for Duke Energy Carolinas versus Duke Energy Progress. The directory could verify Duke’s original program announcement and application portal, but not a live remaining-capacity balance. Battery-control programs such as Power Manager or EnergyWise Home have separate agreements and possible recurring credits.

Who qualifies

  • A qualifying North Carolina Duke residential account; confirm the specific operating company and currently available option.
  • A qualifying new solar-plus-battery system installed by an approved Duke installer.
  • Applicable interconnection, rate-rider, reservation and participation requirements.

How to enroll

Check Duke’s current program and application portal before signing an installation contract. Obtain confirmation of option availability, eligible equipment and incentive calculation; assess battery-control credits separately.

Questions buyers ask

Is the full $9,000 guaranteed?

No. It is the published launch maximum for a qualifying combined installation. Actual awards depend on equipment, program rules, available capacity and approval.

Is PowerPair the same as Power Manager?

No. PowerPair installation incentives and Power Manager or EnergyWise Home battery-control agreements are distinct. Confirm which agreements apply to your project.

Does the directory verify remaining enrollment space?

No. Confirm territory-specific availability directly with Duke; this guide does not claim a live remaining balance.
